Bloodshot Reborn #0 – Review
Publisher Valiant Entertainment
Writer: Jeff Lemire
Pencils: Renato Guedes
Colors: Andrew Dalhouse
Comics’ new publishing powerhouse Valiant Entertainment wraps up the events of Bloodshot Island with issue #0. The dust settles as all the major players get ready for the next step in what should be another exciting chapter of Bloodshot Reborn. But not before an important piece of info shakes one of the major players to the core. Valiant eases off the gas pedal for now but you can rest easy knowing that Ray and the other Bloodshots will be back in action in no time.
Jeff Lemire sets the table nicely with his writing style. I love the cast of characters and I cant wait to see them further develop, especially Deathmate. Even though this issue in particular was mostly textbook post-climax falling action, but Lemire leaves enough suspense to keep readers wanting more. The pencils by Renato Guedes are very strong throughout. You can tell he’s very detail oriented and the colors done by Andrew Dalhouse really shines through. I definitely think that this team would make some magic happen in future Bloodshot stories “hint hint”.
Valiant proves once again that it can do no wrong with Bloodshot Reborn #0. Zero issues are supposed to tie up loose ends and make its fans long for whats ahead and this one doesn’t disappoint.
