The House Volume 5: The House Divulges
Written by Phillip Sevy
Art by Drew Zucker
After realizing that their escape was foiled by the house, things start happening. Bad things. The House seems ready to divulge it’s dark side. We follow the descend into madness where nothing is what it seems to be anymore. The House seems intended on evil and in doing so drives the men mad. What to do when up is down and down is up? When outside is inside and there is no end to the walls both in your mind and in the house? What disaster awaits them next?
This is the first volume where so little was spoken but so much happened. We are finally getting a clear view of what is going on inside the house. Yet it feels we are being sidetracked by something unseen still. There is something bigger coming, something a heck of a lot worse it feels. You seem to be guided along one path of thoughts but I am sure the side swoop that is coming will be even more terrifying. And honestly? I cannot wait for it! This is indeed a scary story but one where you are constantly left wanting more. It is amazing and breathtaking that we are still kept on the cusp of the real story. I also need to add that this is the most amazing cover of the series so far!
In the interview at the back of the comic we are told that there are only 2 more volumes left to go. It makes me sad that the story will be coming to an end so soon but it makes me excited to see where things will be going next for Phillip Sevy and Drew Zucker. Such a level of talent promises great things to come. I am excited for what we will discover in the last two volumes though. Will they escape at last or does the house have even more sinister plans? I guess we will have to wait and see. At the edge of our seat that is!
