After the events that occurred, Ashli finds herself in the office of a doctor. He does not seem to believe anything she says. But then again who would? Things only change when reports come in that the patients have started an uprising, they are bludgeoning and killing doctors, nurses and security. But why? Who told them to and what does it have to do with the mysterious John Doe?
This comic has quickly gone from kinda eerie to downright scary as hell! Things at the beginning seem methodical, Ashli is in a chat and knows no one will believe her until things start to break down. And break down big time they do. Things go down that make others believe her. It seems she is still the only one to hear and see certain things but the others are clueing on and seeing what is happening. I love how the idea of the ever traditional asylum stories has been taken on and transformed into something you did not see coming. I genuinely am creeped out by it and at the same time so eager to read the next comic after this! This is good people, it really is. If you are into the horror genre, pick this up. In fact you should have done so yesterday!
The art is still amazing with the tiniest clues making you reach for the first issue of the series to check and cross-check things you’ve noticed the first time around in the asylum. And I love that, art that makes you think and work a bit along with the story. It is there telling its own story. The words on one side, the art on the other bringing together a much more realistic three dimensional story. I must say, wonderful job!
