After reviving Dot from the possession the girls are unsure of what to do. They decide to leave it for now so they can work the Shuck Fair.
But when they least expect it, they start to find answers to their questions. They even get the name of Captain Denby. But who is he and how did he die? Most importantly, how is he connected to the story? Things are heating up when their assailants show up once again.
Things are once again taking off at high speed. There is barely a moment to catch your breath before you are thrown into yet another direction with this wonderful story! I am loving it even more. I like how it follows the classical ‘buried treasure’ plot but adds so much to it that it expands the entire experience of the story. I still like how much it reminds me of The Goonies whilst being a fantastic story in its own right. The tension build up is just right and the cliffhangers at the end of every issue leaves you wanting more. So much more! Even the Denby duo remind me of the Fratelli’s. All I can say to this story is: bring me the next issue! It is a wonderful summer read but as summer is drawing to a close it will make for a perfect fall read. And an even better Halloween read! This comic keeps on ticking all the boxes for me and I expect it to keep it up till the end.
The art is detailed and still providing clues. We see more of the map and other little written details in this issue and the level of realism is amazing. For example there are tiny doodles in the margin of some note paper they use. Doodles that you would yourself draw absentmindedly whilst on a phone call. That is what I call attention to detail and this story has it in spades!
