As Barbatos and his League of Batman are becoming too much for the Justice League, they are not calling it quits. With the discovery of Nth metal’s location, our heroes venture out in hopes of saving their universe from falling in the hands of the Dark Multiverse. But something familiar haunts Superman and decides to go with his gut feeling to find Bruce Wayne. Little does he know that all roads lead to Barbatos. My review of Dark Night Metal #3.
Hiding in a pocket dimension called Oblivion Bar, members of the Justice League are helpless against Barbatos and his army. After taking Gotham and most of the League hometowns, towers covered by living bodies conducting dark energy are being erected. Never have I read how the Justice League backs are against the wall. Desperation comes at a price when Superman goes and saves a friend in hopes of changing the odds.

The ominus dark energy towers, covered with bodies of the living, leaves one speechless The imaginations of these panels offer a grimly look at the end times of #0 multiverse with the Justice League in tow. In one of the panels, a dimly lit room gives what was once the faces of hope have become the faces of despair as each look an unstoppable abyss. Great drawing and colors of Metropolis engulfed in Darkness.
I just don’t see how the Justice League will get out of this alive. Though Green Arrow has found a way to hurt Barbatos army, the risk of finding more of Nth metal is great and failure is highly probable. Fighting the mind of Bruce Wayne is tough enough, but to fight seven of them is like playing chess against someone a hundred moves ahead of you. Can the Justice League manage to fight this enemy whose already beaten other versions of the Justice League already?
Next up, Batman: The Merciless #1 comes on October 25th and Metal series #4 available on December 20th.
