Dead Hand #3
Aric seems to be in a desperate situation. After hearing about Dead Hand’s intentions towards Earth, he has to do something that he is not accustomed to doing. Asking for help. War is at earth’s door. And we are sorely unprepared for what’s coming.
Robert Venditti is perfectly crafting the tension, setting the tone for what is surely going to be an epic battle. Dead Hand is an imposing force, capable of destroying entire star systems in one stroke. Robert has me riveted and wanting to see more! Like how the armor will eventually…well spoilers!
The art team of Diego Bernard and Brian Reber do a perfect job of showing us just how awesome an army of armors looks. Wow! That is a big one! And that one. What is that?
Rafa Sandoval’s cover is what originally caught my eye. Epic space battles are just what I’m all about. He perfectly captures this, and more, but…what is he flying against!
Thus is probably shaping up to the best space epic arc I’ve read in some time. Valiant keep surprising me. I am eager to see the outcome of this arc, and how it plays into the upcoming Book Of The Dead.
