Julie and Selena have finally time to meet up for a real, 3D date. In a fit of panic Julie asked Chet along to the Magic Show they are attending. But it is fine, the trio gets along superbly and are out to have an evening of great fun. But things aren’t as they seem to be. The location for the magic show is in the middle of nowhere and the performer Dorian gives them the creeps. Selena tries to comfort Julie by telling her just where the monkey is up his sleeve but then Dorian asks for a volunteer. Unaware of the eeriness of the situation Chet volunteers and steps up. Something tells me he had better remained seated…
Wow! This second issue sure is taking the story to a great new level! And talk about a cliffhanger, I will be mentally pacing back and forth until the next issue comes out. It leaves me with so many questions but the main one has to be “Who is this Dorian person anyway?”. You cannot help but start thinking about the story and what happened; But mostly why it happened? Something nasty is afoot, I can feel it. Great way of having your readers hanging on the edge of a page with baited breath! I continue to greatly love and admire this comic, it is fun and it shows you that it isn’t just a cutesy story as you expect it to be in the beginning.
We get a new edition of Pleasant Mountain Sisters as well and it is nice to have a story within a story. But then again it gives you a second story that you want to hear more of…
We have a great amount of bonus material once again: Messages from the Moon, Well Met By Moonlight, (where each month a comics pro is interviewed), fan art, Ask A Know-It-All and delightful Shae Scribbles. I always enjoy a deeper insight into comics I really enjoy. So this is a great gift go get.
If you are still hesitant, by the hooves of a centaur, get this series! You will not regret it! Quite the contrary!
Julie, Selena and Chet go to magic show but the things that happen aren’t exactly what you expect…
