DC Dark Nights: Metal Issue #2
Always be Batman
There’s is no contest, Batman can outwit the members of Justice League hands down. In comic book Dark Night: Metal Series #2, the Batman must stop the Dark Universe from entering the DC Universe at all costs. With the final piece of the puzzle in his hand, Batman rushes with extreme prejudice to the location to prevent the elemental door from opening, Little does the Batman know that the key allowing BarBatos entering the DC Universe was in his possession all the while. This is my review of Dark Nights: Metal issue #2.
This is by far the most creepy story line I have had the pleasure of reading. The Justice League is up in arms as Batman completely destroys any thoughts of capturing him. Needless to say, I laughed at the different scenes when Batman is supposedly captured by a league member. Anyhow, with time running out, Batman takes matters into his own hands to prevent the evil creature BarBatos and his minions from entering the DC Universe. The images of these creatures will utterly shock you enough to want to buy Archie comic books for the remainder of the year. Don’t!
Again I cannot say enough about these Dark Universe characters. They are a dark, demonic, vampiric form of beings to ever be drawn on the pages of a comic book. This is not your daddy’s comic book! The artwork offers a very grim look as splashes of red-crimson droplets and razor white teeth will make you cringe with fear. Coloring and dynamic scene will throw you a loop. Top notch!
For Dark Nights: Metal Issue # 2, the fact that Scott Snyder is writing this story line means you’re going to be entertained. Never has a writer taken the iconic figure Batman and made him this vulnerable. Batman, even with the mental and detective power of Sherlock Holmes, the brilliance of Einstein and the cunning of a hunter combined with all of his abilities and wealth may not be enough to defeat this enemy. How can Batman get himself out of this? And how will the Justice League fight an entity more powerful than all the league members combined and worse, smarter than Bruce Wayne?
Dark Nights: Metal Series # 3 comes out in October 11th while one shot series are throughout the DC comic series, check local listing.
