The House 7 – The Final Confrontation… Review
Written by Phillip Sevy
Art by Drew Zucker
The final confrontation is at hand, things are going to change for good. But are they going to change for the better? Will the House finally reveal its secrets? Things are not what they seem in the eyes of Harker, things that are, things that once were no longer exist on this plane of reality. What will happen to him and all involved when they finally confront the soul of The House?
This is it, the final installment of The House, the one you have all been waiting for to answer all your questions. Does it deliver? Yes. Does it solve all your questions? No. It was not the resolution I had in mind for this story but the story needed this ending. It is not a quick fix or anything like that but I am still left with questions. Questions that find their answers in deeper meaning within the story. That is a good thing, it means the story will linger on your mind for a lot longer that way. I am reluctant to write too much as I do not wish to spoil the final story.
The story comes with the usual interview at the end but this one is far more extensive and delves into the story in a way that people who lived this story for the past 7 years only could. There is additional character art, alternate confrontation endings, and so much more is discussed. It gives a great added value to this final issue.
When this issue drops on the 4th of October on Comixology there will be a kickstarter going live on the same day to obtain funds to get a Trade version out of the series (a softcover book compiling all issues). It has some great perks and should be checked out here The House – The Collected Series
All in all a great series, and if you haven’t read it yet, by golly you are just in time for a wonderful read right before Halloween!
