I haven’t laughed this much since I saw a guy fighting a bear with no shirt on. I’ve loved these characters since I first read them and honestly this was one of the top three books I was looking forward to heading into 2018, and it did not disappoint. The flashback on page four alone may indeed bring you back to your own childhood. Quantum & Woody are a pair of reluctant heroes and adopted brothers. Actually one of them is a hero, Eri…er I mean Quantum former U.S. Army solider would be the hero, and Woody well, not so much. He’s more of a drunken degenerate gambler social media whore yup. That’s Woody in a nutshell. So if you’ve never read their adventures before hurry and ask Santa for some Quantum & Woody in your stocking this year!
Daniel Kibblesmith captured the essence of the world’s worst super duo. Daniel is the perfect person to helm this book. I enjoyed the other writer’s work on two of the previous series, but Daniel will knock you dead with this book. He’s no stranger to incorporating his bizarre sense of humor into his writings and it’s a winning combination.
Kano handles the art and colorist duties on this issue and does a bang up job. I loved his flair on this book. It’s just so good! Kano and Daniel are a winning combination. These two will slay you in this issue, making you want for more, just like I do. I can’t wait for the nest issue, perfectly called Family Feud.
Get your Klang on! That’s right, I went there just like these fighting heroes. Okay, so they’re fighting with each other most of the time but hey, they’re brothers, what do you expect? The covers on this are insane. Valiant is bringing 90’s style foil wrapped covers, and once you see them you’ll know. I can’t wait for the Neal & Zeea Adams covers. If you’ve never read them before pick up the TPB of Quantum & Woody Must Die and read it going into this new #1 of the brothers since Quantum & Woody is now another ongoing title for Valiant.
