Eternity is as boundless and endless as time itself, just like this tale. It’s not the end. It’s just the beginning, really, and this is but a chapter in the universe according to Valiant. One might say this story was divine. It’s such a good story with some very interesting twists and turn, showing just how far parents will go to rescue their child, even if that child was meant for greater things. Abram and Myshka would not stop until they recovered their abducted child, but in traveling to the edge of the universe they truly discover what the child was meant for and what was hanging in the balance. He was meant to be the new preserver, to witness all of history in all universes with the fate of a world in the balance. There is nothing that hinders you from doing what must be done.
Matt Kindt created this intense tale spanning the Valiant universe. I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed by anything I’ve read by Matt. A masterful storyteller who is in a league all his own. Once you read this final issue you’ll understand where I’m coming from in my praise of his work. This was one hell of a journey, but this isn’t over, not by a long shot.
Trevor Hairsine drew this issue with Ryan Winn masterfully inking his work, and let’s not forget David Baron on colors. The art in this series is spectacularly mind-blowing, with a futuristic feel, vibrant colors and the use so many rich tones. The layouts and layers put into the finished work have just been incredible, and is the best-limited series of 2017. I for one can’t wait to see where the next chapter this team creates takes us.
The best-limited series of 2017!
