Zack Snyder Officially Let Go From the DCEU?
In a shocking turn of events, Josh L. Dickey, former editor of Variety and Mashable, threw caution to the wind and gave Twitter a “hot one” on a situation many people have been waiting to hear. Not only has Zack Synder stepped down after an unfortunate announcement in May of 2017, but Snyder was actually let go a year ago!
Since I’m shifting into DGAF mode, here’s a hot one for ya: Zack Snyder was fired from the DCEU just over 1 year ago. Couldn’t write it ~quite~ that way at the time, but was able to tapdance around it [clumsy/oblique headline not mine] https://t.co/7cht70rCaG

Many weren’t exactly shocked by the news. It was suggested that an “unwatchable” Justice League cut sealed the deal. Others came to the seemingly heartless conclusion that his daughter’s death may have overshadowed and doubts or rumors. While Snyder’s films garnered decent box office draw, the critical reception didn’t match. Perhaps the rain of judgement may have caught on with studio heads.
With only three DCEU films under his belt, Snyder had to keep the news on the low, and many believe that this may be the reasoning behind the mythic “Snyder Cut” of Justice League. Some sources claim that the Snyder’s split wasn’t what he intended, however, Snyder is still listed as executive producer for Aquaman, Wonder Woman 2, Suicide Squad 2, and more.
Despite still being listed on more DCEU movies, Dickey suggests that Snyder’s role will be limited still. Snyder fans aren’t ready to let him go just yet. However, the role of producer might not mean much.
Tell us which side of the road you’re on. More Snyder or less?
