Pure entertainment, this book puts the fun in the funny book. Will the brothers from another mother get got by the goat? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure, you will be entertained! If Woody is not careful, he might learn a thing or two along the way. With him, it is doubtful though. This is one of my favorite books in Valiants ongoing stable. This book always seems to have a good flow, not to mention a great balance of comedy, action, and adventure. I’m enjoying the flashbacks as well, and it seems to be providing missing pieces of a much larger puzzle. Allowing us to peer through the looking-glass to the past. I for one think it’s a neat aspect of this back story for this dysfunctional family.
Daniel Kibblesmith writes this book so well that I think he was born to write these characters. Valiant needs to keep him on this title. I’m so glad this is an ongoing series now. Kibblesmith is the just sheer genius of this title. I don’t know what else I can say about him besides what a big fan of his work on this title I am.
Francis Portela steps into the artist shoes on this issue with a helping hand on colors from the very talented Andrew Dalhouse. Andrew brings an entirely new depth to any book he works on, and this is no different. He helps Francis to warp us back in time to the 1960’s-1970’s beautifully in those childhood memories of Eric and Woody.
So if you want to bring a little happiness into your life do yourself a favor and don’t miss a single issue of Quantum & Woody!
