Previously in Black Betty
Previously we met Black Betty she’s a one-woman monster hunting wrecking crew. If she can’t kill it, she can absorb them into herself, where she gains some of that creature’s power and they leave a new tattoo on her. She travels from town to town looking for work as a demon slayer. The last issue she took on a rescue mission to rescue a client’s daughter. She straps up with all kinds of guns and blades and goes hunting. Betty finds the girl and advises her to run for her life and then the real battle begins. That’s where this issue picks up if you liked the first issue you’re sure to love this 2nd issue. The action gets kicked up a notch, and the book is a fast-paced enjoyable read. This book has the 1950s Grindhouse feel to it. You need to check out this book this is my favorite book from Action Lab.
Shawn Gabborin developed and writes this series. He captured a great feel for this story. This very well paced book flows perfectly. I’m a fan of his work now and can’t wait to see what adventures he has in store for Betty.
Michela Da Sacco tackles the illustration on this series with a hand on colors from Rosa “Rosakaz” Rantila. Permit me to assure you they nailed it, such a great looking book. This art team captured the complete look of this book. They have really captured that grindhouse look.
If you’re looking for a new series to jump on board then this is where you want to be. It’s time for you to “Meet Betty” which is the title of this first arc. What better time to jump on board. This second issue was so good, such a great read. Black Betty #2 is on shelves now get your copy today!
