Head Into the Ocean Depths with No Man’s Sky’s ‘The Abyss’ Free Update
No Man’s Sky just got its first major content update since release. The free update which is available today is called “The Abyss” and takes players and introduces them to a new underwater environment. It also introduces a new story, new vehicles, and other interesting additions all for free. The Abyss is sure to give the game a much-needed refresh and perhaps draw in new players.
In’Dreams of the Deep”, you are tasked with finding out what happened to a crew that was shipwrecked. You will explore the deepest depths and uncover secrets, underwater foes, and terrifying creatures and of course sunken treasure.They also have included extra missions for you to tackle.
New Submarine Vehicle
The new Exocraft – the Nautilon allows players to explore ocean depths of all the planets. It also expands upon the combat and mining options. You can summon this new vehicle to any ocean and dock it at various underwater buildings. It’s also able to be upgraded with new Submarine Tech and customize it your liking.
Underwater Buildings and Shelters
You can also construct a Marine Shelter to take a pause between exploring. The Marine Shelter also includes beautiful glass corridors areas to view the majestic underwater world from (while staying safe from the many dangers of it). It also includes your very own indoor aquarium.
Improved underwater graphics
The team has improved upon the variety and quality of the underwater areas themselves. You will see rare creatures that will appear much more frequently as well as the far more dangerous ones you will want to avoid.
What would underwater exploration be without finding sunken wrecks and of course treasure? Well, they included that too. Players will be able to investigate various sunken ruins. You can also find and restore crashed starships and bring them back to life.
