There’s only one thing I don’t like about this series, that it’s a six issue mini-series. Every issue of this title is more amazing than the last, it’s almost “Magical”! Magic Order is a must read for anyone that loves fantasy or science fiction. With the Moonstones father now murdered, is there anything that can stop Cordelia? Just how far is she willing to go to get the book hidden away in Moonstone castle? You just may find out in the pages if issue four of this incredible series. I read this book three times already, it’s so good I thought I might have missed something. After you read it you really need to go back through the book and take your time looking at each and every panel of art in this issue as well, it’s breathtaking. Nearly literally a few times. If you’ve never read this title you need to get your hands on these issues. This could quite possibly be the best read of 2018 in the independent market. I was completely blown away with this installment and can’t wait to see the backlash in number five.
Mark Millar wrote this and we all know how talented he is. As I say from the mind of Millar World comes an image. Mark can do no wrong in my mind, ok maybe he can but it’s for the good of the story. Mark Millar has penned some of the most incredible tales I’ve read. No, I’m not exaggerating he’s one of the few writers that I buy everything he does. In the comics field, more times than not fans will follow a particular artist above the writer well not in this circumstance.
Olivier Coipel is the artist on this book and he does an incredible job. Dave Stewart lends Olivier a talented had in the color department, and the two of them create is just jaw dropping in these pages. This team adds an all-new depth and feel to this magic title. You have to see it believe it, you’ll feel like you’re in this story. Some of that credit has to go to Dave he’s one of the top talents in his field today.
This series may be winding down but in no way is it slowing down if this issue is any indication. This incredible six issue mini-series will be one of the biggest hits of 2018 without a doubt. Things are really ramping up, as explosive as this book was I can’t imagine how great the next two issues will be. Magic Order #4 is on shelves now, don’t miss this book! Please remember as always like, comment, share and keep it geek.
