SDCC 2019: Cue the Spotlight for ‘The Amazing Mary Jane’ This October
Mary Jane Watson takes the stage in a new ongoing series!
The Spider-Man panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 revealed more additions to the growing web of Spidey stories! And one lucky lady just hit the jackpot with her own series — THE AMAZING MARY JANE #1 by writer Leah Williams and artist Carlos Gomez will bow this October, putting the spotlight on the love of Peter Parker’s life! But if Spider-history has taught us anything, such a position is rarely a good one and usually spells trouble! In a story spinning from the pages of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #25, Mary Jane Watson just got her big shot — but at what cost? And can she really trust anyone as she pursues her Hollywood dreams?
Mary Jane is no stranger to drama, so you can be sure that THE AMAZING MARY JANE will be offering up action, glamor, grit, and even a little sass in this new ongoing series, coming in October!
SDCC 2019: Miles Morales Goes Back to the Multiverse This October in ‘Spider-Verse’ #1
Just when Miles thought he was getting comfy as Spidey…
Miles Morales has more than staked his claim in the Spider-Verse as one of Marvel’s resident Web-Slingers — so he’s probably ready for a new, crazy challenge, right? At the Spider-Man panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, a new series starring Miles Morales was announced, and he won’t be alone! Miles is going back to the Multiverse in SPIDER-VERSE, a six-issue limited series by writer Jed MacKay and slew of artists including Juan Frigeri with Arthur Adams, Stuart Immonen, Stacey Lee and more, coming this October.

SDCC 2019: Norman Osborn’s Dangerous Depths Revealed in ‘Red Goblin: Red Death’ #1 This October
What happened when the Green Goblin went red? You’ll find out this fall!
Publishing announcements are coming fast and furious out of San Diego Comic-Con 2019, and the retailer panel introduced several sensational stories that are coming to Marvel Comics! Just one of these stories is a look back at the reign of one of Spider-Man’s most terrifying foes — the Red Goblin AKA Norman Osborn, in possession of the Carnage Symbiote and the Goblin formula! The rowdy, raging Red Goblin will be revisited in RED GOBLIN: RED DEATH #1 by writers Pat Gleason, Rob Fee, and Sean Ryan with art by Pete Woods, coming in October!
Norman Osborn first became the Red Goblin in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #798 — in RED GOBLIN: RED DEATH #1, fans will find out just how much mayhem and madness the Red Goblin caused in a special one-shot coming to comic shops in October! Who else did Norman Osborn harm while inhabiting this deadly double disaster? Gleason, Fee, Ryan, and Woods promise to reveal all!
SDCC 2019: Doctor Doom Gets His Own Ongoing Series This October
Victor Von Doom finds himself at a crossroads in ‘DOCTOR DOOM’!
Victor Von Doom has been a classic Marvel villain for decades — but in this October’s DOCTOR DOOM #1, the sinister Latverian finds himself at a crossroads. Announced at the retailer panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, DOCTOR DOOM is a new ongoing series by writer Christopher Cantwell (co-creator of AMC’s Halt and Catch Fire) and artist Salvador Larroca that finds Doctor Doom in an interesting, conflicted position. After spending much of his time warning against a trillion-dollar global effort to create the first “artificial” black hole, Doom is now wrestling with visions of an entirely different life and a better future. But when a massive terrorist attack results in massive casualties, Doom is the prime suspect. What will happen when Doctor Doom is running from the law — and himself?
They say the best villains are the heroes of their own stories — how will Doctor Doom rise above this personal predicament? You’ll have to read DOCTOR DOOM #1 when it hits comic shops in October!

SDCC 2019: ‘Marvel Future Fight’ Stars Enter New Comic Series ‘Future Fight Firsts’
Luna Snow, Crescent and Io, and White Fox will lead the specials starting this October!
Announced today at San Diego Comic-Con, fan-favorite characters from Marvel Future Fight are getting their own specials with FUTURE FIGHT FIRSTS!
Written by Alyssa Wong alongside artists Jon Lam, Kevin Libranda, Gang Hyuk Lim, and more, CRESCENT AND IO #1, WHITE FOX #1, and LUNA SNOW #1 are coming to your local comic shop this October!
“The True Believers have spoken, and when they do, the teams at Marvel Games and Marvel Publishing assemble and leap to answer them!” says Marvel Games VP & Creative Director Bill Rosemann. “This time it began with the introduction of the all-new characters K-Pop Super Hero Luna Snow and the delightful duo of Crescent & Io, plus the modern update of secret agent White Fox’s field uniform, in the mobile game Marvel Future Fight. SDCC 2019: Neil Gaiman and Mark Buckingham Return to Marvel for ‘Marvel Comics’ #1000
Even more creators on the landmark comic book announced in San Diego!
It’s a big day for Marvel Comics at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 as more news was revealed at This Week in Marvel’s panel! Marvel Editor-in-chief C. B. Cebulski revealed more creators working on MARVEL COMICS #1000, and the names are big — Neil Gaiman and Mark Buckingham! Globally acclaimed at the House of Ideas for their previous work on MIRACLEMAN, Gaiman and Buckingham are returning to Marvel to contribute to this massive creative collaboration of 80 teams for a super-sized issue celebrating Marvel’s 80th Anniversary.
In addition to Gaiman and Buckingham, Cebulski also revealed even more creators joining the MARVEL COMICS #1000 lineup. Creative teams of David Mandel and Butch Guice and Jason Reynolds and Patrick O’ Keefe will be joining the star-studded list of creators on the comic book, including Al Ewing, Adam Kubert, Alex Ross, Gail Simone, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Chris Claremont, Peter David, Mark Waid, and more!
