The Batman Who Laughs #7 (Review) To the Batcave!
Batman Who Laughs #7
Writer: Scott Snyder

Letters: Sal Cipriano
Variant Cover: David Finch and Tomeu Morey
The insanity continues in this seventh and final issue of the series, but have no fear, fans of the Dark Matter Universe, for we already know we haven’t seen anything yet! This chapter opens up with a Bat-Battle for supremacy on the grounds of Wayne Manor as Batman tries to become the change he feels while attempting to fend off one of his dark matter doppelgangers. As if that wasn’t enough, far below the manor in the Batcave, Jim Gordon fights for his life – not to mention his city – against the Grim Knight and his own son James. There are two splash page surprises, but to find out to what I’m referring you’ll just have to pick up your own copy and read it for yourself. You’ll be glad you did. The end of this very entertaining ish will have you on the edge of your seat, yes, but the end of the story? Hell No! We already know in a few short weeks The Batman Who Laughs will be at the forefront of the new Batman/Superman series (with connecting covers no less!)
Scott Snyder scripted this book beautifully, and this issue, in particular, was a fast-paced and action-packed slobber knocker from start to finish. This is what a Batman book should read like. As his story does drive this book with all the different plot points coming together to wrap up this arc the action carries you through these pages with the force of a hurricane.
Jock, as always, slews this book with his own flair into this deranged Dark Matter Universe, with a hand from the talented David Baron as his colorist. The imagery in this book will make you think you were fighting off the serum coursing through Bruce’s blood. The more I saw in this book the more I wanted to re-read this one multiple times.
This book is a must-have not just for Bat-fans, but comic book fans in general will love this book. Non-stop action from cover to cover, but more importantly, any chance to see the Batcave is reason enough to buy this book. There is, however, the added excitement of the cave being the setting of one of the battles which makes it even cooler. The Batman Who Laughs #7 is in stores now! So buy your copy wherever you like to get your comics today! As always Please Like, Comment, Share, and Keep it Geek!
