The Bliss of Multifluffyness Cosplay Interview
An Oasis of lovely bliss
In this week’s OutRightGeekery cosplayer exclusive, we interview the love of the Netherlands. Born with the name of Samantha B. or better known to her fans as Multifluffyness. She lives vicariously as a plus-size cosplay and Lingerie model, a gamer, a figurine collector, and just an all-around Netherland Geek. Living with her boyfriend and photographer, Kenjico, (sorry guys) in a small town called Eindhoven, Multifluffyness is an artwork in motion. She speaks Dutch, English and understands German. As an Aries star child, she’s been known to be stubborn at times, but hey, nobody’s perfect. With her green eyes, brown hair, her charming smile and a figure that can make the traffic in her town stop to a dead halt, she’s the full-size loving figure girl you are going to love.
When she not in front of the camera lens, Samantha enjoys her vast collections of various figurines she’s collected over the year. Her favorite comics books are Spiderman & Wonder Woman. When her figurine exhibits are closed for the night, she watches Netflix’s Marianne & The Haunting of Hillhouse. As a Potterhead fan, Samantha loves Anime shows like Full Metal Alchemist, Seven Deadly Sins, BNHA & Hunter X Hunter, or watch her all-time favorite movie, Spy & The Ugly Truth. But this plus-size gal is no couch potato as her acrobatic skills on the trampoline will leave your eyes all a gaze. She does martial arts and gymnastic training workouts, called Tricking, to keep her physically fit, physically tone, and mentally strong to overcome any haters out there. Two of her most favorite holiday seasons are Halloween and Christmas as these give her the imagination to create all those wonderful cosplay costumes we all know and love. She absolutely loves video games with Diablo & Alice Madness as well as the classics of Mario, Crash Bandicoot and of course my favorite, Banjo Kazooie.
She truly hopes to inspire people to just be themselves and do what you love no matter your size, what your age, what your looks are or even the color of your skin with the life she’s made for herself. She loves her friends as well as her fans no matter how near or how far. She is an ambassador of hope and of love. So when OutRightGeekery told her about being chosen as our next cosplayer interview, she was elated to do it. And when Multifluffyness is happy, we all are happy with her as OutRightGeekery brings you our exclusive interview with the love of the Netherlands, Ms. Multiflyffyness.
OG: I am very thankful and appreciate you doing this interview, Ms. Multifluffyness. May all of your tulips be in full bloom. Are you ready to take our OutRightGeekery, Hot Seat?
MF: Thank you for having me. I love doing interviews for my fans and your readers. My tulips and I are ready for you, do your best!
OG: What sort of kid were you? Shy or Outgoing? What was it like growing up in the country you were raised in?
MF: I grew up with my mom, as my dad left us when I was 1 year old. I moved around a lot. I think about 24 times. Knew several step dads & stepmoms. However I was a happy kid, always looked for the best in people, kind to others even when others were not always as kind to me.
OG: Were you ever bullied? Did you feel self-conscience about yourself?
MF: I was bullied for years and years for being fat. This really did took a toll on my self-esteem. As long as I can remember I did not like myself. I could look in a mirror and be so disgusted about what I saw. I listened to negativity, listen to my own toxic thoughts and the way I looked at myself was through assumptions/opinions from others. It was not easy growing up and hitting puberty while feeling all these negative feelings. I got into depression and even quit cosplaying for a while.
OG: What sort of measures did you do to try to fit in?
MF: I starved myself just kept losing weight. Not in a good way, but in a way of exercising so much and not eating. I would faint after working out! Then when my mom got cancer & my half-sister passed away, may she rest in peace. I hit my lowest point in life. It was time to change because for me it felt like this was the point of no return. If I would not start fighting for me, loving me I was scared I would not make it. My mom kicked cancers butt in the end, THANK GOD!
OG: Wow. There had to be something good in your life? With everything going on, how did you overcome it?
MF: I know this sounds all really dark, it is, but it also has a happy ending. Life can be so freaking hard, but I also say: that’s life. It beats you down, but it is up to yourself to get back up again. So I did. I met the love of my life 4,5 years ago. Knew him longer than that, since he has been my best friend for a long time!
MF: I started eating again, build up a happy relationship with myself, starting to understand who I was, understanding that I could change all that negative energy into positive energy. I should look and talk with people who really value me for me. It took me a long time to get to this point. I am 26, almost 27 right now and now I understand that the most important thing in life is to love yourself. Starting from this point you can conquer anything. It has literally changed my life for the good.
OG: With everything that’s happened. What is your outlook on life, now?
MF: I am happy to help others with their journey and show them that no matter your size, you can achieve your dreams and love yourself. It gave me so much free time, just going to the beach and not worrying about your body. Or when hanging out with friends or doing cosplay not constantly think about the way I looked. I feel free in my body and I am thankful for it. This is why I want to inspire others. Everybody deserves to be happy and loved. If I can inspire just one person that makes me really happy.
OG: How did you get started first, Cosplaying or Modeling? How was your first experience?
MF: I started cosplaying like 9 years ago in 2010. A friend of mine introduced me to this awesome cosplay convention in the Netherlands called Abunai. I knew a lot about conventions in other parts of the world, but I didn’t know we had conventions in the Netherlands! I was so thrilled to go and immediately loved it so much. It felt like my inner nerd was finally home.
OG: What was your first cosplay outfit? Did you make it or did you buy one? What has been your worst cosplay outfit worn but your fans love, and what’s been your best one? I
MF: I cosplayed Lara Croft as my first convention and my first cosplay! Awesome memories! I just looked through my closet and bought some stuff to look like her.
OG: Did you continue to cosplay or did you go into modeling?
MF: After this, I just kept on cosplaying and modeling for photos and costumes. I tried to do normal outfits and later when starting my Instagram as you know it Multifluffyness) back in 2016/2017. I started to do lingerie as well. It gave me such a huge confidence boost and I felt that as a plus size girl I could show that lingerie could also be for bigger sizes and still look classy. I love to experiment with it and that is why my alter ego Dark fluffy is just perfect for it.
OG: Were you always good about creating your own costumes or did you just buy them?
MF: It was not until 2 years ago that I started to make my own costumes and even joined my first competition on DCC with my first self-made armor. I made Valla – Demon Hunter Master skin. I joined it together with my best friend Sakuraflor, she went as Johanna crusader. Guess what, hard work did pay off because we won the cosplay contest. I still can not believe that experience. I am so thankful for it and it gives me more confidence to create my own stuff.
MF: I am working on a sewing project right now. As I learn more about sewing, I am really thankful my other best friend Linda is teaching me. Besides that, I still buy cosplay outfits. I just don’t feel like always making every single costume. I don’t feel like less of a cosplayer when buying it. Cosplay is cosplay. No matter if you buy it, make it, lewd it, it is about having fun and hype about your fandom, series, anime whatever!
OG: Has there ever been a cosplay outfit you have worn that you hated, but your fans loved? and what’s been your best one? What’s is your approach in deciding what you want to do?
MF: I love this question! One costume that really shocked me, not because it was bad, but just so simple, was Velma. I received so much love for that cosplay, while it was just a sweater… Something I came up with a minute before my shoot, because I broke my Scarlet Witch headpiece and had to come up with something else. I saw the orange sweater and was like. Let’s do Velma.
MF: Well, I guess it was the right choice because everybody loved it! My best one is Valla- Demon hunter, but not my most loved one. I received the most love for my Chun-Li & Bakugou cosplay! Forever thankful. Chun-li is such a badass and I feel so at home in it. I cannot wait to do her classic version!
MF: I decide my cosplays based on my love for the character, the art, the challenge, easiness the anime, or sometimes even the hype. I have to be honest, I love to portray badass woman, so I do look at the badass characters from an anime! I like powerful women! Fits my personality.
OG: OG: Is cosplaying in the Netherlands very popular? What is there to do in the Netherlands?
MF: Cosplaying is getting more and more attention in the Netherlands and more conventions are popping up or went from 500 visitors to 20.000 visitors or even 40.000 visitors. It is growing faster and faster. That really makes my inner nerd happy. We got some big conventions like Animecon, Abunai, Elfia & Dutch Comic-con. So yeah, Netherlands do get different events when it comes to cosplaying.
OG: As a beautiful woman, does the body-size of a woman matter (height, bra, or weight) when performing a character? What sort of characters do you love to portray?
MF: Thank you so much for the compliment. For me, it does not hold me back. I cosplay whatever I want. I don’t care if a character is skinny or a man if I love the character I will cosplay that character. I will do it in my own way and cosplay it to my liking and comfort. If people don’t like that, that’s OK. As long as I love it and my fans love it, We Good!
OG: What sort of characters do you love to portray? Are your outfits based on artistry or burlesque?
MF: I love to portray a badass powerful woman. I consider myself a strong individual. So I feel right at home when portraying for example Chun-li! I choose my outfits based on what I love. This could be the art, could be sexiness of a character, could be I am drawn to an outfit, an anime character, game characters. It just depends on my own interest and which character/outfit/game/hype I love the most!
OG: Is there any character that you would love to do?
MF: Hahahaha! Your question made me laugh out loud. MY LIST IS ENDLESS, I cosplay way too much. I can continue till my old age and even then I won’t get to cosplay all of them. I consider myself an artist! Cosplay artist, lingerie artist, influencer, Body activist. I am here to inspire and to do what I love.
OG: Do you consider yourself to be a Geek or a Nerd, or simply a Dork? Do any of these words offend you? Do you think to be any of these categories cool/sexy?
MF: All of the above! None of them offend me. Proud of it and love to show it to anyone out there. My whole house is like a nerd cave. Figurines, merch everywhere! People always think when they come in for the first time it is my boyfriend’s collection… HAHAHA NOPE! ITS IS MINE! People can put me into categories, all is good sexy, cosplayer, lewd, artist, not an artist. I just follow my heart and I don’t think you can put that into a category!
OG: Other than being a cosplayer, what sort of Geeky things do you do? Is there something you would love to do, but afraid to try?
MF: I love to watch anime, play games, go to conventions, collect stuff, experiment with make-up, I love to travel and explore! I am afraid of flying, but that does not stop me from wanting to go to Japan, really really bad! Hopefully next year, I can make that dream come true!
OG: Are all the cosplay outfits you create the reflections of your personality? Or is your personality a reflection of your cosplay outfits?
MF: My personality comes first, so you can see that shining true in my cosplays. Multifluffyness really is what you see is what you get. I change details into my liking or if a certain character has short hair but I love long hair better, then long hair it is. I am cosplaying for me and I am trying to portray characters in the best way possible as I see fit.
OG: What’s been your most difficult/expensive outfit ever?
MF: My most expensive & difficult cosplay is My Demon hunter which cost me between 1300 / 1500 euros! It also took me 3 months to make and I cried during that process It was difficult, but I learned so much!
OG: What sort of sewing machine do you use? Can you knit a sweater? Has cosplaying improved your sewing skills?
MF: I use an old sewing machine (Brothers series) that I got from my boyfriend’s mom! It is the best sewing machine ever! I can knit a sweater or a scarf. Learned it from my grandma! Cosplay has definitely improved my sewing skills. I had no skills whatsoever before cosplay! Now I can even make my own pants or sew any holes in clothing. I used to go to my grandma or friends and ask for help. I still do that when I am lazy or not know how to! I ask and I learn.
OG: How did you get your cosplay name, Multifluffyness? Is it because you have a Big Heart? If there’s anything you would do-over in your life, what would it be?
MF: I LOVE THIS QUESTION! I came up with this name right after I saw Agnes from the movie Despicable Me. Yes, that cute little girl that screams: ‘It’s so fluffy I’m going to die!’’ I fell in love with her and her fluffiness. After this, I thought about my cosplays and the multiple characters I do. I just had to put multi from multiple together with fluffiness and a name was born. Besides that, I have very fluffy hair, a big heart as you said and I am fluffy. So the name just fits me perfectly.
MF: I would not want to change a thing. Everything I experienced good or bad is part of my journey. It makes me who I am today and I am proud of the woman I am. I learned from mistakes, pulled myself together, I am me and this would not have been without all the past experiences. I would be a different person if I did not have the past I had. So even when it was really painful, dark and hard to go through. I am still here, I am me and I am here to inspire others to fight for themselves. I want to show some love!
OG: When wearing your outfit, you painstakingly created, how does it make you feel? Is it sexy? Cute? Accomplished? Or just simply powerful and dominating?
MF: It is always a great feeling when completing an outfit you worked so hard on. I am so proud of showing it to everyone and I can not wait to shoot it or walk around in it. I even get nervous when finishing a costume, just because I get so excited and want to wear it so bad! So when waking up before a convention and walking in my newest costume can make me a good kind of nervous. Just because I feel like a badass and happy with what I accomplished! I want to show my work to everyone and hype about it!
OG: Do you own any tattoos? If so, what are they and if there’s any meaning behind it? Are there any you really want to have?
MF: I have 2 tattoos. There’s one on my back. It stands for looking back to my past, so I can move forward. It gave me closure. The other one on my ankle that I got when my brother and sister were born. Or when I came of age and my mom would let me get it! I was 17 I think, I was 13 when my brother and sister were born. I got their initials. I really want to get one more, but that will happen in the future. I have a design in mind, but It needs some work first before really getting it on my body.
OG: Being you are a woman with a sizeable chest, Is being buxom beauty babe a blessing or a curse? Does it make it difficult to wear a lot of armor props?
MF: This question comes up a lot. People are so curious when it comes to big boobs. Like it is something magical. Everyone wants to know how it is. Well, let me help everyone out of their daydreams. It is not fun, it is heavy, running is a No Go and Back Pains are part of it! I know it looks beautiful and I love them very much. They are part of me, but I am losing weight at the moment just to reduce them a little.
MF: When it comes to armor making it is not difficult it just needs more fabric or foam pieces, LOL! However buying cosplays in my size, or clothing or cute lingerie is a problem! It is always a search to find good affordable sellers.
OG: Are you able to profit from your artwork? Or do you suffer like the rest of us? Do you make a good salary doing what you love?
MF: I still work a job besides running my own company, Multifluffyness. So yeah I struggle the same as you out there. I want to become a full-time cosplayer/influencer/ body activist. It has been my dream for so long and I am on my way. Starting since this year, Multifluffyness, the company, has grown and now I am trying to make a living out of that. So to answer it is no. I do not make a good salary out of it, yet. In fact, I invest 10 times more in it then I get back from it when it comes to salary. I am however really thankful for my supporters who donate on Patreon, Ko-Fi or Onlyfans or buy my prints. It really helps to get new cosplays, supplies, makeup, lingerie and create good content!
OG: As a popular cosplayer/model, do you any forms of exercise to keep yourself tone or balance? Or is it all-natural?
MF: I do various kinds of workouts. Things like kickboxing, to fitness, to trampoline jumping, to being a ninja. Exercising is good for you, for your health, for the mind and for the body. It can be a struggle at times, when I am really busy, but I try to make time for it. I always feel good and it is just fun to try out new things and push myself. My biggest advice within sports is to find something you really like doing. For me, it was the trampoline. It is really heavy, but I always love to go and try new things. So look for something you love and you will keep going. It should not be a punishment but a good fun thing to do! So Fuffyness is all-natural! No enhancements nor plastic surgery.
OG: What are the reactions when fans meet you for the first time? What’s your response?
MF: People I get to meet are amazing. They always are way too kind to me. I get so many compliments about being kind-hearted and that they love my work and I inspire them. What more could I want? It just really makes me happy! Thank you to whoever is reading this as well. I appreciate your time! To all my sweet fans, I love you, I see you and appreciate you!
OG: On those days you just want to relax and stay home, what do you like to wear around the house/apartment? Do you consider yourself to be Froogle or a big spender with your riches?
MF: Pajamas or nothing. It is my house I do whatever I want. I am in between when it comes to spending money. If I don’t have it I don’t spend it. I don’t borrow money. I try to save up as well, but I also buy what I want if I can afford it. So it is a balance.
OG: Are you a fan of collecting comic books or is it something else you love to collect?
MF: I have a big geeky collection of figurines, keychains, Funkos, nerdy books, art books, consoles, stickers, you name it, I have it. Do you know when you go into a game store and you can play the PS4 or Xbox on a flat-screen display case? Yeah, I even got a showcase thing like that.
OG: What things are happening to Multifluffyness in the future? Will there be a calendar for 2020 in the works? Knowing your traveling habits a bit, can it be a world-wide cosplay/model calendar?
MF: Next year, 2020, will be a Fluffy Year! I am just going to make it an awesome Fluffy Year. I would actually love to make a calendar, I have been thinking about that for quite some time. I have more than enough content to do so! I can make 20 different photo calendars if I want Fluff with puppies/kittens/Milk trucks/Shaolin Monks.
MF: What do you think? Should I do it?
OG: If you do, both your fans and our reader will never miss an appointment ever again!
OG: Are there new outfits you are developing right now? What sort of advice you can offer new and inspiring cosplayers/models out there?
MF: I am working on several new outfits! I am working on Kirishima from BNHA, Jaina From WOW, Aela from Skyrim & lots of other projects. I keep adding more plans to the list. So 2020 is going to be a full year.
MF: Go for it. Start doing what you love. If you love cosplay then show your awesome, beautiful self. Don’t apologize for yourself or put yourself down with comments like, “My body does not look good, I am too fat or too thin, she’s too beautiful and I am so ugly, I could never pull that off, and finally, I am afraid people will laugh”. You are perfect just the way you are! You deserve to be seen and to cosplay what you love. You deserve to do what makes your soul happy! It is important you are happy with yourself and don’t let other opinions hurt you. I know it is difficult, but I believe in you!
Now it’s time we ask Multifluffyness our, “So-Far OutRight, Just-Geeky questions!”
OG: Is bathing in a tub filled with milk, nutritious to do?
MF: LOL!!!! I guess it is good for your skin and it felt really good, but after 6 hours you are done with the smell and it is also really cold! Next time I need to find something else instead of milk.
OG: What sort of myth can Multifluffyness dispell about the Netherlands or maybe about the woman?
MF: That we all smoke weed and it is allowed everywhere.
MF: DUTCH PEOPLE ARE CHEAPSKATES AND ALWAYS GO DUTCH.
MF: Everyone is blonde, tall and has blue eyes
OG: Is the Hands-Free Bubble Tea challenge something you were born to do?
MF: I haven’t done it yet, but I NEED TO! No problem at all, it’s easy!
OG: How does one say in Dutch, “ Keep the change, you filthy animal!” (Home Alone)
MF: Hou het wisselgeld maar, jij smerig beest!’
OG: Can your Cleavage stop traffic?
MF: I think it will cause crashes more I have had people stare so badly and intensely that I was afraid they were gonna walk or dive into a pole!
OG: Is Amsterdam really a fun place?
MF: There are so many more beautiful and fun places then Amsterdam in the Netherlands. I for one do not enjoy going to Amsterdam. So crowded and crazy traffic jams! Amsterdam is a cool place and if you have never been there, you should visit it. However, keep in mind there are so many beautiful places outside of Amsterdam.
OG: Is there a movie or play that will always make you cry?
MF: Every single Disney movie.
OG: What is the #1 thing Multifluffyness is absolutely afraid of?
MF: Being buried alive in the ocean. I do not like it when I can not see what is below me… I have an irrational fear of sharks.
OG: Is Multifluffyness a good role model for the criminally insane or a wonderful dish for the Zombie apocalypse?
MF: I would kick ass in a zombie apocalypse! I would be good fluffy food, but ain’t no way ZOMBIES!
OG: In a sheer act of Heroism, how many marshmallows can you stuff in your mouth?
MF: I did the chubby bunny challenge a few times now. No idea how many I got to eventually, just a lot!
OG: What is your Spirit Animal?
MF: A wolf!
OG: What sort of Super Power would you absolutely love to have?
MF: Spider-Man power, without a doubt.
OG: Is Latex a cosplayer’s best friend?
MF: Not really, it is expensive! We cheap!
OG: Do you currently own a garden of prize-winning Tulips?
MF: I was waiting for this one! I keep laughing at the last Spider-Man movie as it portrayed the Netherlands in such a stereotypical way. However, the tulip fields are gorgeous! Also no, because I don’t have a garden.
OG: If you could come to the United States, what absolute- crazy thing would you do here?
MF: VISIT EVERY SINGLE CONVENTION! YOU HAVE! YOU HAVE THE BEST ONES!
OG: Do you own a pair of wooden shoes?
MF: That is the first time I got asked that question. NOT!!! Have you ever visited the Netherlands? We all wear them, so comfy… 😉
OG: Can bottles of your Bath-water be a source of income?
MF: Let’s be honest and real, HOW GENIUS WAS THAT. Everybody getting angry with her, while she is doing it as a joke and sells out within the day. It made what 15,000 profit of it? What an awesome joke, yet it is not her fault. If you want to buy and support her that way, it’s on you. You bought it. I’m happy for her, and she can live a good life! I don’t judge anyone if that’s your source of income. If that were the case, I can pay a lot for my dream costumes then ^.^
OG: Do you still have any of that bath-milk left, I lack lots of vitamin “D”.
OG: What is the #1 secret thing that Multifluffyness can do that no one knows about?
MF: I can do some crazy tricks on a trampoline 😉
OG: What does Multifluffyness absolutely love getting from her fans?
MF: Love, a smile, and kindness of people who appreciate my work. Just seeing someone happy while meeting me or brighten their day is more than enough. I get a lot of gifts too, which is awesome and I got a nice place in my house where I put them all my memories together.
OG: What Disney character would love to have as a best friend?
OG: Who would you love to meet from past History?
MF: Albert Einstein, Alan Watts, but it is still close by, I would say CLEOPATRA! How amazing would that be?
OG: What three celebrity people would you absolutely love to have at a Hot-Tub party?
OG: What is Multifluffyness Theme song when she enters a room?
OG: If your life was made into a piece of candy, how would it taste?
MF: Sweet & Sour.
OG: If you could sum up your life in one word, what word would it be?
OF: Can I get a hug?
OG: Ms. Multifluffyness, you are officially off, The Hot Seat”! You are now a part of OutRightGeekery’s collective cosplay family, thank you so much. Your love and your compassion for cosplay are as equal as your inspiration for others simply amaze us. You Go Girl!
MF: Thank you. It was my pleasure.
OG: And for my final question, where can our readers find more of you?
MF: Anyone can find me at the following sites:
