Tony Visconti Produces Band-Maid’s New Song
BAND-MAID, the impossibly hard-rocking maid band from Japan, have announced that they’ve joined forces with legendary producer Tony Visconti for their upcoming album CONQUEROR, out on CD with lyric translations from JPU Records in Europe and North America from 17 January 2020.
Tony Visconti, who has worked with the likes of David Bowie, T Rex, and Thin Lizzy, produced album track “The Dragon Cries” and is available to download ahead of the album’s digital release on 4 December by clicking here from midnight tonight.
On working with BAND-MAID, Tony comments, “I love the originality of BAND-MAID. It was like a dream come true to meet them. During recording, SAIKI and MIKU sang from eight-hours straight. I don’t know many artists with that kind of stamina, I was taken back by their professionalism. They definitely met my expectations.”
BAND-MAID’s guitarist and vocalist Miku adds, “Tony really likes BAND-MAID and is such a friendly and lovely person. I’m so grateful to have recorded in the same New York studio as David Bowie, and I really appreciate that Tony could produce our hopes and wishes. When I meet Tony again I want to show him how much we’ve grown.”
CONQUEROR is available to preorder on digital formats as well as on CD.
The Dragon Flies follows the recently released reincarnation also off the upcoming album CONQUEROR
