OG: Hello Heniko. Thank you so much for welcoming Outright Geekery into your country and into your soul. How are you?
Heni: Thank you for this wonderful opportunity. I am very excited to do this interview with Outright Geekery.
OG: Oh, I am certain you will do great! My Hungarian is a little rusty, but if I can offer these words of advice in your language.
OG: Tanulj mások hibáiból.Soha nem élhetsz addig, hogy mindet magadhoz készítsd.
OG: Please feel free to make that into a Tee-Shirt. Anyhow, please lets us begin and tell our readers about yourself.
Heni: Hello, nice to meet you! I am Heniko from Hungary. I was born in Budapest, and now I am living near here. I have greenish-brown eyes. I speak Hungarian and English. Unfortunately my English, not the best, but I am trying! I have blueish black hair.
OG: What makes you happy?
Heni: It makes me happy to spend time with my loved ones or with my hobbies. I’m not a big horror fan, but I find ‘The Conjuring’ pretty cool. My favorite mangas are Skip Beat and the Sword art Online. I write my stories.
OG: Are you an animal lover?
Heni: I really like animals, although I don’t have any pets at the moment.
OG: My Spidey-Senses tell me you are a Summer gal who loves Sly Stallone comedy movies. Am I right?
Heni: I absolutely am a summer girl.,The funniest movie I’ve ever seen was Oscar.
OG: What’s your tune grove?
Heni: I love Latin music.
OG: While you are working during the midnight hours on your cosplay, what’s your favorite drink?
Heni: My favorite drink is Pepsi (no sugar) and something very sweet when I am working on my cosplay outfit.
OG: Do you game?
Heni: I’m not really a gamer girl, but I used to play Tekken.
OG: Let’s go back in time and ask, what kind of kid were you growing up?
Heni: As a little kid, I was very active. I loved playing. I was a little shy but open to the world.
OG: Was being a sassy girl a problem growing up and going to school?
No. It wasn’t a problem. I like to play with boys. In elementary school, I was more confident and a good student.
OG; Did you fall in love dressing up as a child?
Heni: I loved wearing costumes when I was little. My favorite costume was the ‘bride’.
OG: So here is the question we all have been waiting to ask. How did you get started in cosplaying and what was your first cosplay wear? I started playing cosplay in 2011.
The first serious costume I made was Nemuru Kushinada from Ookami Kakushi.
OG: I’m told, the first time cosplaying is new and scary. How was your first experience?
Heni: I really enjoyed wearing the costume, it was fun and cool.
OG: What sort of characters do you love to portray when cosplaying?
Heni: Usually I chose a costume that suited me. In the past, I really liked creating my own characters or those who had huge additions. By now, this has changed slightly. I always choose a character to match me or to like.
OG: What’s been your favorite cosplay outfit?
Heni: My favorite cosplay was an original Peacock costume.
OG: Wow. It must be beautiful. Like one of those Brazilian Carnival Peacocks.
OG: With just so much imagination, is cosplaying in your country very popular?
Heni: It is fortunate I live in a country with a large cosplay community. There are many talented cosplayers in my country. The biggest cosplay event in my country is MondoCon.
OG: As a beautiful woman, does the body-size of a woman matter (The height, bra size, or weight) when performing a character?
Heni: The important thing for me is choosing a character that fits me because that will be nice. I would never choose a character that I could not reproduce in character.
OG: I’m told that you are a photographer. Were you a photographer first or cosplayer first?
Heni: After/during the cosplay, I started taking photos.
OG: What sort of camera do you use?
Heni: I have a little automatic Sony camera. Not a serious machine, but I like it.
OG: What places do you prefer doing a photoshoot?
Heni: I think it’s important that you choose a place like cosplay photography that fits the character.
OG: Is it tough being both the photographer and the cosplayer when shooting?
Heni: It’s actually not hard to be cosplayers and take photos at the same time. Because when I am the photographer I can help the model, and when I’m a model, I can tell what kind of picture I want to see. I really like this hobby. It is entertaining.
OG: Which brings me to our next question. What is your opinion of Lewd photography?
Heni: I have no problem with it. I think it’s everyone’s right to decide what you want to do. I do not condemn anyone for this.
OG: Should you do Lewds to keep your fans happy or make money?
Heni: In my experience, sexy images are not enough to make likes and money. I already had a series of sexy photos, but I didn’t get any richer.
OG: Are all the cosplay outfits you create the reflections of your personality? Or is your personality a reflection of your cosplay outfits?
Heni: There are some that do, and some that do not. One is only made or bought because I like the character.
OG: What’s been your most difficult/expensive outfit ever?
Heni: The most expensive was probably the Peacock. The hardest thing is the gaming character from Phantasy Star Portable.
OG: Did your cosplay technique become better over the years?
Heni: I think yes, but I could be even better. for example, I’ve never made armor. I’ll try it once.
OG: Are all of your outfits made by hand, sewing machine, or a hired seamstress?
Heni: I’ve used all three versions. But sometimes in a shop or closet, I found clothes that could be used for my cosplay.
OG: If you do sew, can you knit a sweater?
Heni: No, I don’t. Unfortunately, my grandmother didn’t teach me to knit.
OG: How did you get your cosplay name, Heniko Cosplay?
Heni: I wasn’t truly creative. My cosplayer’s name is Heniko (Cosplay) I just use the same.
OG: When wearing your outfit, you painstakingly created, how does it make you feel? Is it sexy? Cute? Powerful?
Heni: I think it depends on what the costume is because character fidelity is the most important thing in cosplay. For example, if I am a sexy character, I have to feel it too.
OG: Does the outfit make you feel you are the character?
Heni: In most cases, Yes. I think that’s the point of cosplay. When you wear it, you will be different from who you are.
OG: How comfortable doing a photoshoot with other cosplayers?
Heni: I really enjoy working together. I have a constant companion in this, Galaxina Style. I really enjoy working with her.
OG: What sort of pictures do you love doing the most as a cosplayer?
Heni: I have no favorite genre of concretes. If I think the plan is good, I’ll be happy to do anything.
OG: As a photographer? What is the most frustrating thing you have to endure when you’re cosplaying? When you’re the photographer?
Heni: Usually, I don’t have a lot of problems with cosplayers. Maybe with those who just wear cosplay but aren’t like the character. with them a little harder.
OG: Do you use props when cosplaying? If so, is it difficult to make and wear them on a photoshoot?
Heni: Of course. I love making props. Sometimes yes, especially when the accessories are big.
OG: Are you able to profit from your cosplay or photography artwork?
Heni: I have a ko-fi support page, but I am not very popular there. So I pay and work for everything.
OG: Do you make a good salary doing what you love?
Heni: I think yes, but sometimes, it is not always the case.
OG: When you are not your own photographer, who takes your photos?
Heni: I have some good photography friends. They often help me.
OG: On those days you just want to relax and stay home, what is your everyday clothing wear while at home?
Heni: Sweatpants with a t-shirt. At home, I only wear comfortable clothes.
OG: What does Heniko love to do to relax?
Heni: I watch a movie or anime… or to go for a walk is a big one.
OG: What sort of hobbies do you love to do?
Heni: I write stories. I’m going to publish one of my novels this year.
OG: Do you respond back to your fans when messaging you?
Heni: I think it’s important to keep in touch with the fans, so I try to respond to every message.
OG: Were there any strange requests or suggestions made by them?
Heni: Somebody wanted to buy me something and then there was a man who wanted to lick my leg.
OG: Oh, that’s so strange. Couldn’t he just ask for an autographed picture of you?
OG: Are your fans more men or more women?
Heni: I think I have more male fans.
OG: Are you a fan of any cosplayers or photographers out there?
OG: What sort of projects or up-coming events will Heniko be doing this 2020?
Heni: Unfortunately, I do not know, because this crown virus has blocked many of my plans.
OG: What sort of outfits will your fans see you in the near future?
Heni: A sexier series will be my next work.
OG: Would you consider having a 2020 Heniko Photography calendar?
Heni: No. I don’t think there’s any interest in that.
Are there new outfits you are doing with spandex?
Heni: DVa from Overwatch.
OG: What sort of advice can you offer new and inspiring cosplayers /models/ photographers out there?
Heni: I do not think I can say much, but it is important to always have an idea in our head that we want to realize. It is very difficult to work without ideas.
Time we ask Heniko our, “So-Far OutRight Just-Geeky questions!”
OG: What sort of myth about the women in your country is the truth?
Heni: Hungarian girls are the most beautiful in the world.
OG: I know! Stop teasing me!
OG: If this happened to the world becoming infested with Zombies, what cosplay character would you become to save the world?
Heni: Someone like Tallahassee, from the Zombieland. He would be useful at this time!
OG: What would Heniko, as the star of her own HBO special called, Hot-Tub celebrities special would you invite to this event? (5 people)
Heni: Robert Downey Jr, Tom Holland, Ryan Reynolds, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson. Yes… I am a huge MARVEL fan.
OG: Which is worse? During a photoshoot, you have to use the bathroom or wait for hours to finish and eat?
Heni: The second one, completely!
OG: What superpowers would Heniko absolutely love to have?
Heni: I can do many different things with my mind.
OG: What would you change about the cosplay world?
Heni: This world needs so much tolerance!!
OG: If you could go back in time with your camera, what pictures would you take from History?
Heni: I would make a photoshoot of Freddie Mercury at the Live Aid concert.
OG: What is your favorite color you love to wear?
OG: Favorite hair color?
OG: Are ghosts, UFo’s, BigFoot, The Bermuda Triangle, Elvis, The Men in Black, and the perfect man all real?
Heni: Who knows… perhaps.

Heni: I’m two-handed. I write horizontally with my left hand, vertically with my right and any five fingers can hold the pen.
OG: Is there a particular movie that will always make Heniko cry every time?
Heni: Endgame… Tony… my heart…
OG: What song do you sing to make you happy?
Heni: Marc Anthony – Vivir Mi Vida
OG: Do you love taking color or black and white photos?
Heni: Yes, I do love both.
OG: What is the #1 thing you should never leave without when on your way to a convention or photoshoot?
Heni: The mind.
OG: If you could sum up your entire life in one word, what word would that be?
OG: This question often gives a lot of different answers. Can I get a hug?
Heni: No, because I think hugging is an intimate thing. I only hug those who are important to me and who are close to me.
Heni: Sorry, but the virtual hug is totally fine. 🙂
