Mondo’s Harley Quinn Statue is Bee-you-ti-ful!
Attention members of the Gang of Harley’s! Mondo has the Harley Quinn collectible you’ve been waiting for!
The polystone Harley Quinn: Waiting for My J-Man statue is based on the 2014 SDCC exclusive vinyl pressing of artist Matt Taylor. For those of you who weren’t able to get that 7″ shrink-wrapped album sleeve, this is your chance to own an impressive 3-D casting that is a true work of art! (And for those of you who still wish to own a copy of that original print, the box has Matt Taylor’s impressive artwork right there on the front!)
This 1950s pin-up inspired piece is massive. It’s almost 12 inches tall is quite heavy.
I hope you don’t mind getting your hand dirty as some assembly is required. Okay- it’s not that bad. Here’s a small tutorial video on how to complete the work of art once she is removed from the box…
The figure of Harley Quinn has a patina to it. It reminds me of a Roman marble statue. The bronze dusting blends perfectly with the striking red of Harley’s original costume as well as the very retro pink hues of the shag rug and turntable. And that tiny bit of robin’s egg blue on the record player and on the box! Oh, how kitsch!!!
The work done by the collective team of Andrea Coleman, Mara Ancheta and Matt Taylor in collaboration with Ramirez Studios and Jason Wires Productions make this a museum quality piece that deserves a place in your collection if not your heart!
As Harley would say ‘It’s Bee-You-Ti-Ful!’
